Fan Review: I have been enjoying Battle Beast’s music for a number of years now. When they split with guitarist Anton Kabanen, I was a bit disappointed. The band have went a bit too far in the wrong direction for my cup of tea. The music isn’t bad, but lacks that certain something. I was hoping Anton’s first album with Beast In Black would fill that void, but it didn’t. Again, it was a good album but felt like something was missing. On the band’s second release From Hell With Love, they found what was needed to fill that void.
From Hell With Love was originally released in 2019 via Nuclear Blast Records. The band take what they were trying to achieve with their first album and actually succeed. Musically this is very similar to everything Anton has released. It sounds big, it’s over the top and has a not so subtle nod to the 1980s. Their previous release was far from original. It sounded like a big dose of nostalgia and a song writer who couldn’t let go of his old band. Whilst the Battle Beast sound is still here (Unlimited Sin), they carve enough of a path in their own name to have some respectability. The nostalgia is fairly to two covers on the limited edition copies. The covers being Motorhead’s Killed by Death and Robert Repper’s No Easy Way Out, made famous by the Rocky IV soundtrack
