I never anticipated that Children of Bodom should make a collection like this. I question anybody did. It’s been encircled by quite a debate, with suppositions going from complete trash to the happening to another sort. I’m not here to state my own position or give a last say on anything; just my assessment.
This is, similar to the remainder of Children of Bodom’s discography, an inconceivable collection. Their initial three were the zenith of the extreme Finnish force metal sound, melded with neoclassical elements and the meanest destroying this side of Asgard. Hate Crew Deathroll was the introduction of a pristine sound – extreme ruthless force metal, with the lead guitar, melodies, and consoles coming through more grounded than any time in recent memory, just sponsored by a vicious attack of riffs. Are You Dead Yet? is an extension of that sound, digging much more profound into the place where there is the riff, never deserting Alexi Laiho’s proclivity for melodic lead guitar.
It’s this unstable blend of melody and fierceness that makes Are You Dead Yet? a particularly advantageous collection. Destroyed, Lost and Strungout was a stunning preemptive perspective on this new stable, including extremely quick drums and blindingly specialized guitar and console fill in obviously. In any case, the whole collection surely breaks out of a one-track equation, deliver another sound for every individual melody. The primary single, In Your Face, is a greater amount of an anthem than a melodic show-stopper. It appears to sum up what is the issue here, making substantial, in-your-face metal.
